Fall is well underway and we’re ready to start cozying up by the fire as days get shorter and a little bit colder. We turned to the Simple Goodness Sisters for one of their favorite drinks. A very unique location, the sisters operate a farm exclusively for cocktails, growing herbs, edible flowers, fruits, and veggies. Based in Washington state, you can visit the farm, shop the Soda Shop, or hop online to purchase their simple syrups and cookbooks. Cheers to this sipper!
In our recipe, the Simple Goodness Sisters simple syrup takes the place of the classic sugar cube to add sweetness and mellow out the whiskey. Try it with Rhubarb Vanilla Bean syrup, for a tart-sweet punch where the vanilla complements the caramel toast flavors of bourbon aged in oak barrels. We also love it with the Lemon Herb paired with a sharp, bright 100% rye whiskey. Super unique with the herbal back notes!
